In McDonalds near “Place royale” as in every spot in the world, life has stopped for a very long period since the Covid lockdown started. Day after day , people couldn’t resist staying at home and reviewing every stitch of their lives during one of those conversations we have with our families at lunch. So they decided to break the routine and head to local restaurants so as to take their orders and enjoy their food somewhere else ( Anywhere…but home). You can see that motorcyclists are all around McDonalds waiting for their orders to resume their ride, while encountering delivery men who are clearly busy carrying distant clients orders. The pandemic has clearly caused a chaos in people’s eating habits.

Here, Boffay place, a refugee of positive and calm vibes for teenagers and adults who got sick of the quarantine and its tense and upsetting atmosphere during every meal. They had to finally take their food somewhere else and eat outdoor next to art made by creative talents of the same city they live in ( As shown in the picture). Maybe the lockdown made most of us exhausted but sometimes all we need is a sitting like this and the pressure vanishes immediately.

This street is one of the places that witnessed the changes corona virus made in the inhabitants’ lifestyle. As shown in the picture few people are walking in the street, wearing their masks and looking pretty done with the whole lockdown story. All the shops are closed including Bars and restaurants , the place shown in the picture is in front of Nuxia restaurant which used to be a highly frequented coffee place, but when the quarantine began the coffee had to close its doors as it became nearly abandoned. Not only did people lose the possibility to hang out in their favorite places, but the shop owners also suffered from a huge loss, it’s obvious that gaining customers once again is going to be a hard mission.

The pandemic that was supposed to last only a few months, made it through a whole year. And it’s already Christmas again, a Christmas with no celebrations, no family visits, no kids screaming around “Hey it’s Santa Clause with his giant belly! Mom may I sit on his lap? I’ve been a good kid this year”. The streets and the tramways are empty, hollow and almost lifeless. And the families are probably trying to recreate the Christmas spirit through video and phone calls, which is clearly failing and this Christmas was another event that got ruined by Covid-19.
